Blogswarm: Saying NO to George Bush's War in Iraq
Today, the MOMocrats are joining the Blogswarm, where bloggers across the world are standing up and voicing our opposition to the war in Iraq. Five years and more than 1,000,000 people dead have left us numb to the violence that occurs in the streets of Baghdad and Mosul, violence brought in our names, violence against people who did nothing more than be born in a country containing the second largest remaining oil reserve in the world.
It is a simplistic and patently untrue to say that those who oppose the war oppose the troops who fight on their behalf. We oppose the war precisely because of our love and support of our brothers and husbands, our neighbors and friends, who have gone to serve their country honorably and well. We believe that no more of our children should be left without a parent, no more of our friends should be left without spouses and partners, and no more of our families decimated by this war. It is time to end it, to bring our troops home.
Today, we will tell you why we oppose the war, each in her own way, with facts and figures, anecdotes and emotions. Get involved and blog it yourself. Leave a link in the comments and join us.
Check back throughout the day and scroll down for our contributions to this action.

I suppose it won't surprise those of you that know me that I was all over this.

For those who missed it, the rising cost of fuel is yet another sign of a Bush Cheney Mission Accomplished. What mission was that you ask? Why the mission was to create record profits for Bush's old oil buddies and Cheny's old corporate buddies. Why do they think the Bush administration went all the way to the supreme court and invoked executive privilege to keep Cheney's secret deals a secret? So when someone tells you Bush's legacy is just torture and lying about it you tell them: hogwash. For the first time in history an American president has started a war for the sole purpose of raising corporate and oil profits and it worked! There's your legacy! In my humble opinion.
