Go Read It: "So You Want To Be A McCain Democrat"
"So You Want to Be a McCain Democrat," a must-read for those currently too bitter to vote for Obama/Clinton in the general election.
A little more detail on the Supreme Court, from the Boston Globe op-ed cited above:
The Supremes. The day the next president takes office, five of the nine Supreme Court justices will be over 70. John Paul Stevens will be 88; Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 75; Anthony Kennedy, 71; Stephen Breyer, 70; and, I smile as I write this, Antonin Scalia is 72.
The next president will probably pick one or two of their replacements; maybe more, if he or she is reelected. McCain, who favors the repeal of Roe v. Wade, promises conservative audiences, "We're going to have justices like [John] Roberts and [Samuel] Alito."
People, McCain voted against SCHIP (expanding health insurance that currently covers children).
He's a "flip-flopper", as I seem to recall Dubya's word for it.
Take a look:
And recently, he flip-flopped on whether water-boarding is torture--and this from a U.S. war veteran who was himself subjected to torture as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam.
See for yourself McCain's 180. "Today," NBC, September 22, 2006:
And "The Olbermann Report," February 14, 2008:

Well, you don't have to worry about ME voting for him.

i will continue to think that this logic is the most bizarre thing I've heard in a while and have to believe that it's merely passion talking b/c how can anyone, anyone, anyone vote for john f'ing mccain.
oh, and Joan? she's HILARIOUS.

What? Senator McFlipFlopper is not John Kerry? Would be less surprising and less nauseating if he himself had not been tortured. I always thought his standing up to Bush on this in the past was principled. Silly me.

"[...] I would just prefer Mr. Bush simply to say 'I'm resigning.'"
Just one of the many, *many* reasons why I am devoted to Keith Olbermann.
Awesome, righteous post, Cyn. *claps*

Like I've been saying, two words -- Supreme Court. Not supporting SCHIP just makes it even worse.
