The largest political rally in Alaska history

This picture was awaiting me in my email inbox this morning. Someone was kind enough to send along pictures of this anti-Palin rally held in Anchorage a few days ago. 1400 people I'm told. Bigger than that the rally WITH Sarah Palin a week or so before.
Yes, you read that correctly. An ANTI-Palin rally. And you know, it may be cold up there, but it has not hampered the Alaskans' ability to come up with clever signs at an anti-Palin rally. Of course, there is so much to work with. We had: "Hockey Mamas For Obama," "Great Performance But We're Not THAT Stupid," "We Can't Bear Palin," and "God's Will Is Not A Foreign Policy."
The one that really hit me was this one: "America Should Not Sleep If Palin is Veep."
That captures it for me. The idea of Palin becoming leader of the free world is not an abstraction to me. My father died in his seventies.... From melanoma.
Shame on McCain.

I love that sign. I want to put it in my yard.
The idea of her one heartbeat from the presidency strikes fear in my heart as well.

i was so elated to know that not everyone in alaska is crazy! thank god for you all. the signs are great, the message is heard loud and clear. its a shame that in our 'democratic' nation that the media 'chooses' for the rest of us what we see and what we hear, if it wasnt for the internet, we wouldnt know abt this rally --tsk, tsk, tsk on the media in corporate america.
keep it up momocrats, the rest of the world is watching and listening and lets prove to them that we arent the irresponsible, blind leading the blind citizens of america that we have been for the past 8 years! enough is enough!

Hello,
If you are not reading Mudflats yet, http://mudflats.wordpress.com/ , make sure you check it out! Written by an Alaskan that lives in Alaska. I believe this is where your email pictures are originating from as she was at that rally and took a ton of photos!
