Last week MOMocrats featured a guest post by Kyla who wrote about her family's personal health insurance crisis. I suppose I had high hopes that by reaching a broader audience something miraculous would happen for her family, for her daughter. Her post today over at her personal blog isn't making me feel very hopeful and I can't even begin to imagine what she as a mother is going through.
This sphere has a lot of power to raise voices, to affect change. I hope by continuing to share her story we find a way to raise enough awareness and anger about the lack of accessible and affordable health care that folks with power are moved to do something. Now, before more and more amazing families are crippled by choices they should not have to make.
Kyla, we won't give up on this and we won't give up on you.
