One of my favorite columnists is Connie Schultz from the Cleveland Plain Dealer. If you haven't heard of her, go read some of her columns now.
She's full of insight and common sense. She tells it like it is, even if you don't want to hear it.
Oh, and she's won the Pulitzer Prize.
So when Connie talks, I listen. On the question of whether Hillary Clinton should get out of the Presidential race she has this to say:
Men Shouldn't be Telling Hillary Clinton to Quit the Race.
You go, Connie. I know I can always count on you to say just what I'm feeling!
When she's not here or stirring things up at her place, PunditMom, you can find Joanne over at BlogHer, where she's a Contributing Editor for Politics & News.
Women will vote for the woman candidate if she's getting beat up by the media? What happened to voting on issues and past record of performance? I just can't get behind this kind of thinking, whether it was authored by a Pulitzer prize-winner or no.
So what happens in 2012 when Clinton has to face off against Nancy Pelosi, Janet Napolitano, and Kathleen Sebelius for the Democratic nomination, and go up against Condoleeza Rice in the general election? Who do women vote for then, the one that gets most trashed by the media?

"Women will vote for the woman candidate if she's getting beat up by the media?"
Not what Schultz was saying at all.

What about the women that are saying the same thing? Are women going to listen to them?
The calls for her to step down are not misogynist, they are standard in any political contest where the person in second has no path to victory.
