...of Kawasaki jet-skis. Psych!
He was on The Colbert Report last night, and killed. I mean, comedy chops like nobody's business. (It was a heavy hitters of the Democratic Party trifecta: Clinton and Obama also made appearances. Clinton started off the show.)
Edwards stood up for the white male voter and his neglected interests. Take a look:
Obama closed out the show.
And there was more substance and issues, if not a smattering information on candidates' platforms, in six minutes and thirty on The Colbert Report than in ten times that on the ABC "debate" the night before. You know, the debate where the viewer had to bring all the substance?
Cynematic's personal blog is P i l l o w b o o k.
What a guy - impeccable social conscience, great comedy timing AND perfect hair! *sigh*
And in a lightening-quick response, some Edwards & Obama enthusiasts have set up a donation page to collect the price of two Kawasaki jet skis ($12,100) that's one for John and one for Elizabeth, to be donated to the Save the Children Fund to "buy" Edwards' support for Obama. If you'd like to contribute, you can do so here: http://www.firstgiving.com/symbolicjetskis4children

I forget, can we write-in Edwards on the ballot?

My jaw dropped when Edwards came on. He was great!!
Thing is: I don't think he came all the way to Philly just to do the "Word" on Colbert.
Maybe jet-skis aren't the only thing he's endorsing?

Hah! I was coming to see whether anyone had posted this yet, and you beat me to it!
I think all three were funny, and I appreciated Obama's message (putting manufactured political distractions ON NOTICE so we can get back to focusing on the real issues) the most, but Edwards really stole the show. He was amazing. Stephen Colbert should make him a regular guest commentator.

Laughed until I cried that Edwards is no longer in the race.

John Edwards, I miss your presence in this race so much! Edwards '08!
Sigh.

Oh, I think there is a new career path for him in the future - SNL/Colbert Show/Daily Show commentator! That has got to be more lucrative and entertaining than being the president or a spy!
Bwahahahahaha!

I want the pen that shoots child tax care credits!

No wonder Elizabeth married him! ;)

If anyone wants to see it since it isn't clickable anymore and looks like it has been removed from YouTube

It's the 3rd one down right now. I'm sure it will move, but they'll still have it available

What was the "O" on his lapel? still working on figuring that out.
Posted by: Karoli | April 18, 2008 at 08:04 PM
Karoli, that circle pin is one he always wears, as did all the higher-ups in his campaign. I think it is some kind of Democratic pin, not an Obama pin.
Cyn, Bush has a pen that shoots child tax credits; he just refuses to use it.

I loved him on the show. Great comedic timing and charm. Universal Haircare, that was a good one.
Karoli, the pin is an Outward Bound pin that he wears in memory of his son, Wade.
