The women over at Moms Speak Up are talking about uninsured children today and we MOMocrats are listening. Politics are personal, and this week we watched one of our honorary MOMocrats take her fight to her state capitol, advocating for health insurance for her beautiful daughter and for millions just like her. There seem to be so many obstacles in the way of doing the right thing and yet we continue. We continue to speak because it matters and because we visualize a country who is committed to meeting the needs of everyone living inside of it. We continue because we want our voices to matter and because we believe that they can.
We've seen this week the power that a few voices can harness. We were able to get a presidential candidate to listen and were able to watch Kyla champion her cause in front of legislators and media alike.
And we aren't giving up.
Jen's also not giving up over at one plus two.
I just found your blog because you're featured at Typepad. I love Momocrats and have put your button on my blog. You go, girls. Keep up the good work.
