Welcome to a new semi-regular feature on MOMocrats where we highlight frosty libations to help dull the pain and ease the frustrations of this already-too-long presidential cycle. Some of us have been drinking heavily since John Edwards suspended his campaign and we have no plans to stop until June 3 at the earliest.
In honor of the meanmean angry misogynist who will find his ass resoundingly trounced come November, we're kicking off the holiday weekend with this crisp cocktail: The Cindy McCain. But remember, if you are planning on indulging—and we hope you are—do what Cindy McCain would do: have your chauffeur and/or private jet pilot on stand-by to ensure you get home safely.
THE CINDY MCCAIN
Reach for one of these every time John McCain begins a speech with "My friends..."
1 oz vodka
1 oz rum
1 oz gin
1 oz bourbon
splash of Arizona-grown orange juice
Pour ingredients into cocktail shaker packed with ice. Shake well and strain into large martini glass. Garnish with orange twist and serve. Best when accompanied by two Percosets followed by an Ambien.
Now that's funny!

Really? You want to mock someone for her addiction? Nice.

Sounds delicious. Did she steal this one from Food Network, too?

Does no one appreciate satire anymore? This is funny stuff!

When I started reading this blog a few weeks ago, there was a blurb in one of the sidebars or in the banner that said something about this being a less offensive political site or something like that--and it was. But that blurb seems to be gone, and now we're getting into that old "politics of personal destruction" thing. If this keeps up, I'll stop reading and take the button off my blog sidebar. I think it's a very unprofessional way to conduct politics (or anything else) and one of the main reasons that the Republicans have self destructed.
