This strategy to have real folk talk about their experiences is brilliant.
The woman who received the republican smear email just told millions of people why it was trash.
The former republicans with horror stories were more compelling than dems with the same stories would have been.
And now we're singing "Born in the USA" and people are waving not only the small flags we were given, but huge flags brought from home. The Republicans' claim of ownership of the flag is over. These are patriots in this stadium and we're taking our country back.
When has there ever been a convention with 70,000 people shouting in Spanish?

Please make "Rage Against the McCain!" into a t-shirt. I know at least 10 friends who would want one since last night.

Totally brilliant. I have LOVED reading your commentary on the DNC, and look forward to this blog throughout the election. I am so proud to be a democrat!
and, I second the request above--Rage Against the McCain would make a fabulous t-shirt! I also want a Momocrats one, since that describes me fairly completely.

I wish I was there! Obama's speech was right on point last night. I just watched Sen Palin's speech, women have to see right through this, she's using Hillary's glass ceiling quote to try and gain our vote. Not gonna happen! Does she think we're that stupid? That we don't know what the Republican Party is up to?

I loved the "regular folks" speakers too! That one guy who got off the "We need a president who stands for Barney Smith and not Smith Barney!" was lovin' his momet in the sun. They all did a fantastic job and the crowd was eating out of their hands. A fantastic idea. There were so many wonderful moments Thursday night, I'm having trouble saying which was my favorite one.
