Here's an imaginary movie review from that well-known trade magazine of the entertainment industry, Daily Var-- I mean, Quotidian Smorgasbord.

Former Prez Candidate Ankles '08 Bid, Seeks Showbiz Cred
Or, from snark to shark in one bad campaign video.
Backed by flagging studio GOP, former elected rep and presidential candidate John McCain surprised his reps with an indie remake of classic helmer Cecile B. DeMille's THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, starring legit actor Barack Obama (2004 DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION SPEECH, The SENATE, MR. [WILL] SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON) as Moses in THE ONE/MOSES II. Unlike the kung fu actioner of the same name starring Jet Li, McCain's THE ONE is a wholesome fish-out-of-water biopic that starts in the midwest, detours through the mideast, and ends in the Oval Office ("is he ready to lead?"). A slow burn throughout.
Skipping the film festival circuit altogether, writer-director McCain takes cues from digital-indie upstarts launching shorts on Youtube in the hopes buzz on the 60 second THE ONE/MOSES II trailer sells the completed feature length drama. Hoped-for exit strategy: acquisition by the American people with either a wide release of the McCain helmed 100-year long sequel to the BuschCo con man/actioner IRAQ, THE QUAGMIRE, or self-distribbed via door-to-door and Christian market.
First-timer McCain suffers from a heavy touch with over-literal homage. Pic lacks originality, weighted by muddy sfx and obvious humor. Leading man Obama rises above leaden material with a deft mixture of a sincere, yet charismatic, winking persona in a breakout performance.
Prospects: best case scenario, meetings and a first-look deal at Christian market prodcos. "I have many more stories to tell, many more scripts to pitch," says McCain. "They're all up here in my head."

Best campaign ad that supports the opponent, dontcha think? I like the naivete of asking a question that you don't know the answer to: "Is he ready to lead?" What if the answer in the audience's mind is "Yes!" Hmm, then what?
This McCain campaign ad is really an ultra-cagey, super-mind-bending reverse psychology trailer that seems to make fun of Obama's leadership, but really was made in support of the new Oliver Stone movie W., isn't it?
