A recent interview with VP pick Sarah Palin. Take special note of the question at the bottom about global warming.
Seriously?
Scientific fact: global warming is produced from the hot windy methane emissions of windy elephants over at the GOP. For reals.
Perhaps Palin could address.

A person from Alaska who does not see the human effect on the environment? I'm concerned.

You do yourselves a disservice with comments like this. "Then what, pray tell, should be be attributing it to?" Global climate change has been happening since long before we had the numbers or technology to impact it. So what, pray tell, do YOU think was causing climate change in the Sahara Desert thousands of years ago?

Hmmm, must have been all those aerosol cans they had back then. Bummer.

I almost spit my Diet Coke out when I read this: "To win, he needs to continue his message that America needs leadership devoted to the public interest — not the special interest." And realized she was talking about John McCain...
And I can't believe they let her get away with such an open-ended, ignorant answer to the Global Warming question.
I'm embarrassed for her. She is the Dan Quayle of our time, but God help us she doesn't actually become Vice President.

I would say "Are you KIDDING ME?", but I know better by now. That so many dumo, I mean democrats actually believe in Global Warming because Al Gore said it was so. There are more scientists saying that Global Warming is a hoax than there are that believe in it, and the ones that believe in it can't substantially back up what they even say. They only say it because they were offered millions to prove it exists. Pay ME a Million dollars and I'll tell you I seen a UFO land in my back yard, AND get you pictures of it. Then I guess you will all believe me too.
WHY is there now MORE Ice in the North Atlantic now than ever recorded history? The pictures you see of ALL that ice melting....guess what, ICE MELTS! It always has and always will. You MOW your Grass, More comes back, thats the cycle. The HoaxErs have tricked so very many of you into believing it with all false data. To show you a picture of a polar bear falling off a piece of ice, do you honestly think ALL the bears got themselves into that situation? Could it be POSSIBLE they took pictures of icebergs melting that had broke free and floated south into warmer climate, just as it has done for thousands of years? Hmmm?
Governor Palin was referring to global warming not being man-made, but the actions you have seen in those fake commercials are Mother Nature, it is her natural cycle. But you know what, keep right on believing all that and more your being fed. Don't use the Thinking side of your brain for anymore than to agree with somethiing that will line the pockets of people like Gore. OH yeah, the Man that INVENTED the Internet! Amazing!!!

And can the Democrats be SERIOUS when they pick at Palin saying she has no experience? HAHAHA!!! her Purse has more experience that OBAMA. A Mayor, Leader of Energy & Oil Conservation group, a Governor that duels as Commander in Chief of Alaskan Natl Guard, balances all of that while running a good size family, and is better spoken than even Barry was after he studied for weeks for that Academy Act he put on at the DNC!
Did you people ever consider this? Obama talks great using a teleprompter...he stutters and ummms n ahhhs when he is in a debate without his teleprompter just like when the preacher asked him questions... then WHY did he speak so amazingly smooth at the DNC? Hmmmmm? What he did was nothing more than what Michael Douglas did in An American President....he ACTED! THere is no way in Haiti he can accomplish 1/4 of what he said, but if he thinks so...and he might....it is because of his behind the curtains real intentions. He wants the Government to run the entire country, just like Hitler! THink it over folks, your ABOUT to make a BIG mistake.

By the way, I'm NOT from Alaska. I'm a Retired Navy Chief living on the EAST COAST. I have to laugh at the comments "Who is SHE?" referring to Palin. Where have you people been, living under a rock? Or is that the best you can come up with off the cuff?

Is DIFFERENCE of opinion considered MEAN n Crazy?!
Posted by: Ronald Ross | August 30, 2008 at 10:25 AM
That's special.I think cynematic may be correct.
I like this,too:
"I'm pro-life. I'll do all I can to see every baby is created with a future and potential. The legislature should do all it can to protect human life. "
Wow, she must plan some nifty magic to help provide assistance, resources, support and space on the planet for all those babies if they aren't aborted. And legislature should do all to protect human life? Hooray! No more war! woohoo!
Posted by: Jupiter | August 30, 2008 at 10:29 AM
WOW!!! Sarcasim... theres a Big surprise from a Liberal. I'm pro-choice but I still have the ability to open my ears and eyes to both sides. And also do enough fact finding to know if someone, that wants to be my Commander In Chief, has ever lead any group larger than the 4 others on the court with him. If possible, I would bet my paycheck I could easily find 25 department store managers with more experience leading people than Barry has.

Its enjoyable to go back and read the responses to "what praytell should it be attributed to?"... I almost feel sorry for those of you that JUST DON"T GET IT. I guess it just goes back to the Snowball job Gore and his Crazies did on so many of you. "The SKY IS FALLING... The SKY IS FALLING!". "WOLF ... WOLF!!!"". ...least we not forget..."Iran is a little country, they are not a threat"
Posted by: Ronald Ross | August 30, 2008 at 10:49 AM
@Ronald Ross: Have you been disemvoweled yet? Then you have not crossed the line to mean/abusive. Just a little warning to the flurry of new commenters to the site, that's all. Since there seem to be some voluble/excitable people in the bunch.
WRT executive experience in politicians--are you ranking gubernatorial experience over senate (legislative) experience? If so, then that would make Palin's less than two years of her term as governor outweigh Senator McCain's 26 years of experience as a legislator as well as Obama's years in the state senate of Illinois and in Congress.
If you have actual facts and figures to share about global warming science, by reputable scientists, then please share it by all means.
Posted by: cynematic | August 30, 2008 at 11:18 AM
Who is Reputable? Seriously? Is the the ones that say GlobalWarming is real or the ones that say it isn't? WHOs the Liars? I don't KNOW...nor do you, nor to most people. I have seen the shows of and heard about the threats on the men(scientists) that dispute it. I'm not going to quote it however. The research is out there, Google it, then make your own opinion.
Palins Experience Outweigh McCains?...uhhh. NO!! hahaha.. They are Combined, i.e.. "team". So I guess BIDEN (BInlaDEN) has enough experience for the both of them just because he was in the senate around what was it, Palins 9th birthday (approximate). Because Bidens partner sure doesn't have much to give. Your counting all the time he has spent running for President since being in the Senate? hahaha. Good one. Oh Yeah, and what did he accomplish SINCE being IN the Senate? zzz zz zz
I've more thoughts, but my fingers are tired...haha.. Latelunch time
Posted by: Ronald Ross | August 30, 2008 at 11:36 AM
I bet she believes it's all just what's going to happen at the end of times per Revelations.
I'm scared to death of this ticket, even more than I was of McCain before. And my mother, an ardent Hillary supporter, who is voting for Obama is nothing but insulted by the idea that Palin could possibly appeal to her.
Posted by: April | August 30, 2008 at 11:36 AM
OUCH, that was FULL of typos. Told ya my fingers were tired..(blushing with shame )
Posted by: Ronald Ross | August 30, 2008 at 11:37 AM
I can't believe Palin actually filed a lawsuit against polar bears being put on the endangered list? She's ready to sell out wildlife to the highest paying oil tycoon.
Posted by: kirsten | August 30, 2008 at 11:44 AM
OK, I can't pass this up first. WHY!!??!! do you people claim to be INsulted because McCain Picks a female Candidate? He Picked, as Barry did, a candidate to Best support him. If YOU "FEEL" that he did it to attract female voters, So be it. Well of COURSE he did. But in no way does that lesson her knowledge, strengths, and ability to perform the job.
I SERVED in the UNITED STATES NAVY. Retired From the same. I was embarrassed serving under Bill Clinton, but did it because I had my duties. I can say I would be proud to serve under Sarah Palin.
Would it have made your Mom happy if he picked an Ignorant Male 8th Grade Dropout? ENSURING that he would lose, would THAT make Her, You and the Rest of everyone upset that Palins Purse has more experience than Barry the Chosen one, would that make everyone happy? Because that's McCains goal I'm sure, is to do what makes you all Happy.

I'm not offended that they picked a woman at all, I'm offended that they thought she'd pick up the HRC voters by quoting Hillary during her speech. She ain't Hillary honey and never will be. Again, people voted for Hillary because they shared her views, which are polar opposite to Mrs. Palin's.

@ Ronald Ross: It's customary in civil exchanges within comments sections to provide the links for arguments you espouse. If you make an argument, the burden of proof is on you to link to evidence. That's how we play here. If you feel your fingers are tired, you're welcome to take a long rest before you return.
@ April: I'm glad your mom is sensible enough to be offended at the McCain campaign's shameless pandering to former Hillary supporters! What the McCain people don't get is that many supported Hillary because of her excellent "policy wonk" credentials. I've differed with Clinton over policy but I've always respected that she knows her sh*t. Gov. Palin seems to have a lot of holes in her policy stances on several key issues that any credible presidential or vice presidential candidate would have to put forth.
Posted by: cynematic | August 30, 2008 at 12:02 PM
Yes, global warming happens naturally, but to assume that we have no responsibility to our environment is ignorance at its worst. Yes, let's go ahead and keep polluting the air BECAUSE THIS IS JUST A NATURAL CYCLE.
GAH!
Posted by: Natalie | August 30, 2008 at 12:06 PM
There are people that served in the US Navy and still do that don't share your views. Some that were proud to serve under Clinton and ashamed to serve under Bush so whats your point? The fact is there were more qualified picks (women).
Obama put it elequently when he said " The men and women who serve in our battlefields may be Democrats and Republicans and Independents, but they have fought together and bled together and some died together under the same proud flag. They have not served a Red America or a Blue America, they have served the United States of America."
Posted by: kirsten | August 30, 2008 at 12:13 PM
...(BInlaDEN)
I feel better now. When republicans start comparing Joe Biden to Binladen, you know they're scared. Very scared. Because I don't know that I've ever seen such a stretch in my entire life.
Posted by: Jo-Ann | August 30, 2008 at 12:19 PM
WOW Natalie, that is mighty Presumptuous of you for thinking we aren't GREEN. Have you been sleeping a LOT lately, EVERYONE is going Green.
GAH!! haha. And WHO said we don't have responsibility to our environment? WHO? Ignorance at its worst?....that would be someone that makes assumptions without looking into their resources. Its ok, Jump on the Bandwagon, its big and has lots more room for you. A lot of them just jumped off in Dayton Ohio.
@kirsten- so your a mind reader? you say your offended at their thoughts, that is an impressive ability.
@cynematic- fair enough about the links, although I've only seen one other from the Left in here thus far, although it's contents support the Conservative more if you really know how to read.
Posted by: Ronald Ross | August 30, 2008 at 12:20 PM
you just gave a perfect example of Republican spin BRAVO! Your not worth my time, so feel free to have the last word, I'm still voting for Obama.
Posted by: kirsten | August 30, 2008 at 12:28 PM
@kirsten. And YOU served? I was beside them daily. Under Reagan, Bush, Clinton then Bush. It was hard to find someone that respected who Clinton was for what he did. I can promise you this, had I did on my ship what he did in his office, I would have been fired! OUT!
And if you THINK for a moment Barry wrote that line that you say was so elequently spoken, then your behind the correct candidate, stay where you are your doing great.
(one more cut/paste I have saved from earlier then off to the commisary[grocery])
Posted by: Ronald Ross | August 30, 2008 at 12:30 PM
@kirsten: Kirsten Kirsten..KIRSTEN! Thank you SO MUCH for that Link. WOW! I never knew he was SO QUALIFIED! hahahaha.. Allow me to point something out, ALL AMERICANS have the Right to Vote! 1st: The fact Barry Helped 150,00 register to vote, exactly WHAT would that involve? I hate to speculate, so I'll let you use your own imagination, seriously think about it. And 150,000 who, African Americans....hmmmmm, well isn't that just special. I have to wonder if I were to help 150,000 Caucasians or maybe 150,000 Japanese even, register to vote. I WONDER what reaction I would get from that? hmmmmm.
Now, as for the rest of the flowery words within his so-call accomplishments, very very weak. I seen/wrote evaluations for over 20 years in the military. I promoted to Chief Petty Officer, no higher because I refused to add the flowery words to my evaluations as did those that went higher ranked in the same amount of time as I.
They are also the same flowery words used in "Resumes". As in a resume to become a President of the United States. He went to school to become a Lawyer. The things it said he supposedly did are what a Lawyer is SUPPOSED to do, it is His JOB. Should people be advanced for just doing their job? And besides, How long DID he practice Law? How many cases did he oversee or follow through from beginning to end? For the Love of GOD, don't fall for this person because you let some big words influence you. That entire website, besides the fact he did get a degree and is a lawyer(impressive), has Zero Substance.
And most important, that entire thing started with "community organizer" Oh BOY! G.W.Bush Step down RIGHT NOW, We have a Community Organizer ready to take Commander in Chief(CINC)! Guess what, Palin "IS" a CINC.
[Thanks for the fun, gotta run. Huggs Kirsten :-) ]

Ronald Ross, can I ask you why you are taking so much time to troll a democratic site? Do you think you have a snowballs chance in hell of actually convincing anyone here to change their mind? No, in fact, you've shown just how ignorant republican trolls are (not to be confused with republicans in general - I prefer to call them misguided)and you are doing the republican party no favors. I don't go to conservative boards to get them riled up, I have better things to do with my life. Your attitude is exactly why I don't like the republican party.
Also, the fact that you took my comment so personally when I was not even addressing you, but referring to the original post, tells me you are exactly the kind of person I am talking about. So thanks for proving my point. Resources, facts? You might want to look in the mirror there, buddy. I've learned that it doesn't matter how many sources I cite for a simple common sense statement, your kind will never give up the fight just for the sake of fighting.
I also served under Clinton and I am not ashamed at all. Throwing around your military experience as if that somehow makes your opinion more valid just makes you appear to be the kind of person who likes to puff up his chest to intimidate people.
I'm normally not one to bite back at someone (democrats are generally peaceful), but you, sir, are just a silly goose.
I have to admit, you've livened things up around here a bit and you've made me even more *resolved* (in the words of our oh so wise current leader) to get the republican party out of office.

The more I read about Palin, the more she scares the hell out of me. She is so extreme! Talk about not getting it. Eating all of that moose has screwed with her ability to reason and her sense of truth. McCain is only using her to try and get elected. I'm calling her "Palin the Pawn" from now on.
Posted by: Stephenie | August 30, 2008 at 02:56 PM
@Natalie, and I thought we had something. Where's the LUV?! Wow, at least I wasn't the Name Caller. Lets see, I'm a "Troll".. I am "Ignorant" and I am a "Chest Puffer". Well Ms. Natalie, I really don't think I was PUFFING my chest when I slightly mention the fact that I served in the Navy. Maybe you can tell me a much more "Democratic" nice way to make the point that I did so. It is a fact, not just an "opinion" as I have heard so many of in here. Should I keep it more secretive for the little ones maybe? Ok, hows this.... "I once worked for some people in this government organization that I'll leave un-named for reasons I'll not say". Is that a nicer way of putting it Nat?
Exxxcuuuusssseee ME for saying "I served in the United States Navy" .. and excuse the hell out of me for serving 21 YEARS and thinking I had the RIGHT to MENTION it to YOU Ma'am! Of course, your name calling is perfectly ok, it does not pale to the terrible things I have said in here, SHAME of me for stating some facts.
Posted by: Ronald Ross | August 30, 2008 at 03:54 PM
You have better things to do with you life?...is that so Nat? SO do I, but doesn't mean I don't have the time to have some good debates with a lot of "very" misguided. :-) I don't give a rats ash if I change anyones mind. Because if anyone is so WRONG to want to vote an ISLAMIC person into the seat of Our PRESIDENT, they are not someone I wish to have on my side anyways.
Somebody get me a GLOBE. Geography Lesson People... we live in the UNITED STATES. If a Leftist Islam wants to lead a country, I have NOTHING against that. There are lots of Sandy countries he can go lead with his extreme attitude. Think for one minute, Free college, Free medical, Everyone working, He'll pay for it all...there are countries that do that now, they are called communist.
Posted by: Ronald Ross | August 30, 2008 at 04:15 PM
I do have to say that yes, it's great that we have yet another female VP nominee, but I'm sorry to me she is nothing more than a good old boy in a skirt.
Posted by: Karen | August 30, 2008 at 04:41 PM
Thanks for clarifying your racist tendencies! Again, it really makes any further debate with you redundant as the color of Barack Obama's skin means more to you than his intentions as president. Debate the issues not the race. Tell me where you get your info and I'll happily go read it and debate with you, otherwise it's nothing more than typical flat earth nonsense.
Posted by: Kirsten | August 30, 2008 at 04:59 PM
"Eating all of that moose has screwed with her ability to reason and her sense of truth."
What the hell? Explain to me the difference between moose and any other flesh a person might eat other than human? She hunts, kills, and eats her own food and her family sustained itself on what they caught and what they grew. These are people far more connected to the earth and their food than anyone who buys hamburger or even tofu in a grocery store. Unless you slaughter your own food, keep your own cows, or otherwise live with and show some awareness for the lives you use up to sustain your own can criticize others for how they use up life.
From the book by Kaylene Johnson:
"Chuck (Palin's father), sixty-nine, and Sally, sixty-seven, work summers for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Wildlife Services Program. They've trapped fox in the Aleutian Islands, contributing to the recovery of bird populations decimated after the fox was introduced by Russians in the 1750s. They've used pyrotechnics to scare birds off runways in the Pribilof Islands. And they've helped eradicate rats from Palmyra Atoll, one thousand miles southwest of Hawaii. Chuck and Sally even accepted an assignment from the federal agency that took them to Ground Zero in New York City to keep rats away while investigators recovered remains after 9/11. Chuck also substitute teaches and enjoys bringing specimens from home to conduct workshops on wildlife biology."
You'd like to paint people unlike yourselves with easy, broad strokes to make yourself feel more confident in your black and white beliefs, but people are never that easy. A little complex lateral thinking when it comes to humans would do this entire party good.
