It's being reported that the McCain people are now trying to reschedule the VP debate. In the name of the economy, no less.
Ironic, isn't it. Trying to push Friday's debate into the VP slot. Coincidence, conspiracy, insanity or just really sad?
First no press interviews for Palin, now, maybe no debate?
It's Romper Room over there. The wheels are off the cart.
We are all counting on Obama to say Thanks, but no thanks to that Debate Rescheduling To Nowhere.
unfreakingbelievable

I tried, but I couldn't avoid my inner skeptic. First McCain and buddies said there was no recession, agreed with Bush that the economy was stable. Now he's abandoning campaign activities (just in time to avoid a debate) and asking Obama to do the same? Why? Did he run out of money in his campaign war chest?

After seeing Gov. Palin in the various interviews, it is clear the McCain campaign does not want her in an 1.5 hour question and answer situation. She does not answer a question directly. She is all over the place and just goes back to her talking points regardless of the question. Do they think we are stupid!
This suspension is to cancel the VP debate and to a push the first Presidential debate until after to bailout is done. If so, McCain will try to keep the conversation on the bipartisan solution he "lead" us into (which btw is almost done) not the mess the anti-regulation movement got us into...We can see your cards Sen. McCain. We are mothers, we can tell when someone is trying to con us.

My husband came barging into the kitchen this morning after hearing that McCain now wanted to push the first presidential debate to when (and I assume where) the vice-presidential one was to take place and said 'I GET it now! He's so scared by what Sarah Palin might say that he's surreptitiously trying to get the VP debate canceled!' And he had no idea about any of this manuevering yesterday--so you KNOW he can't be the only one thinking this.....

Daisy - couldn't agree with you more!! And Cyndi your husband definitely is not alone in what he is thinking. I am a Canadian citizen living in Mexico and I can tell you that the general concensus of this whole charaide on both sides of the ponds is the same! This is getting ridiculous really, and beg to differ what the McCain camp has said about the media attacking him and Palin, it is clear to all that he is also not convinced that Palin is "smart" enough to head into a debate. The smell of fear from McCain and Palin has stretched across the borders and I can only hope that those thinking of voting their way have taken all of these actions into account. I cannot even begin to see how and why someone thinking logically would vote for these two. I am also appauld at the fact that McCain called off his campaign and yet still managed to use Katie Chouric and the Clinton Global as his personal forums in the last 24 hours. I was hoping that at some point someone would have pulled the mic away from him this morning as he spoke of HIS 5 points to fix the economy. EXCUSE ME, that certainly sounds like campaigning to me. Hipocrit!
