BusinessWeek has a digestible and fairly impartial comparison of what Obama's tax plans are when compared against McCain's. It dates from June, 2008, so it's not too stale as of this writing. It's a good place to start.
Go Read It: McCain and Obama on Tax Reform.

They are both wrong on taxes. We need to repeal the 16th amendment! If you want a real, comprehensive tax that taxes people fairly, where everyone pays their fair share, you should be supporting the FairTax -- www.fairtax.org.
How long is going to take Americans to realize that corporations do not pay taxes. A corporation is responsible to its shareholders to make a profit. If the government takes a chunk, they just raise the price and we pay the tax when we buy it!

The problem with those comparisons is what Obama does NOT tell people about his plans.. His proposed universal health plan is NOT going to be paid by higher income taxes. It will be paid with MUCH higher payroll taxes, affecting all taxpayers. In many european socialized countries, the payroll taxes alone are 40% of somebody's income (20% paid by employer and 20% paid by employee). Right now, we are paying 7.5% or so in payroll taxes and a 20% payroll tax would be effecticely a 13% tax increase.. That's the true tax increase that Obama doesn't want you to be aware of!

Well, Oliver, unless you post some sources for your assertions, what you say will continue to be assertions and not facts.
So, Obama on raising the payroll tax. I've never heard him say this. Where have you?
