Pursuit of Happiness Hour: Holiday Edition
Almost felt sorry for that guy... must really suck to have to defend McCain and Palin. I am sure he is thinking - doh! how did I get this gig?

Holy bleep. That was an excellent effort by Campbell Brown.
Exhausting, just watching it.
And quite honestly, his non-answers were blatantly apparent on that.

1. McCain's camp is pissed that they're saddled with this liability in Palin
2. Tucker's looking for a new job tomorrow.

1. Yeah, but that's what you get for not vetting your VEEP properly.
2. Oh, yeah.

Pity she (and her colleagues) weren't this tenacious in trying to get answers in the run-up to the Iraq war.

Awesome! Go Campbell. And is anyone else bothered by the fact that Tucker said "Pal-in" in the beginning, and "Pale-in" at the end?

Priceless. A valiant effort by Campbell Brown.

Wow. Would that all journalists tried to get "real" answers like Campbell. It is so painfully clear that the McCain camp has - literally! - nothing to say about Governor Palin's actual experiences. Trying to paint her as having decided about armor and equipment was an unbelievable tactic; only the Pentagon (as Campbell lectured Skippy about) makes those decisions. Governors only have decisions about intra-state deployments and then it's only a yes or no. I am so sick of the line that she has "more experience than Barack Obama" (thanks Elisabeth); it is simply NOT TRUE.

I hope undecideds were watching that. This is what has me most appalled by his choice - not that he's trying to appeal to PUMAs with a pro-life woman, not that she's a mom of a young child (totally, frakking irrelevant) and not even her lack of knowledge on pretty much everything (although that freaks me out).
His pick was shocking to me because HIS campaign made a big stink over the fact that Obama was so much less experienced than McCain (which he is, obviously, nobody's arguing otherwise). And then they pick someone who all they can tout is "She's been commander in chief of the Alaska Nat'l Guard!!" OMG. That interview where someone asks how she feels about Alaskans dying in Iraq War says it all...that she hasn't been following what's been going on in Iraq.
And McCain insists she has a command on the issues? Um, seriously?

So why wasn't Campbell so concerned about Obama's lack of experieince whe HE is the one running for president? What blatant bias, and you idiots suck it up.

This "interview" is so unprofessional it's sad. Campbell Brown wasn't able to maintain even a semblance of neutrality. She is obviously worked up about this choice of Palin. I saw her in another similar interview about Palin in which she became so emotional I thought she was going to cry. Seems like she could use a sabbatical.
Tucker Bounds answered her questions, she just didn't happen to like his answers. It's called an interview. She doesn't get to decide both the questions and the answers. He was simply pointing out that Palin does have experience. Campbell obviously disagrees.
He said that Palin has real executive experience, many years of political experience, a real record of bipartisan reform, a real knowledge of issues involving energy - - and to anyone who thinks Obama is qualified, she is at least as qualified as he is, if not more so.
As for me, the jury is still out on Palin. I am pro-choice, for one, but I think she's got something and I'd like to hear what she has to say in the coming weeks. Not to mention, electing Obama absolutely ensures that we will have an inexperienced President. I can think of worse things, but for people who care about experience, how is that outcome better than having an experienced President (McCain) and a Vice President with at least some executive experience to throw into the mix?

"News reporting" has merely become another word for "lobbying"- whether being offered from whatever side of personal bias of the person/media/written-spoken source. It has gotten to the point that they legally should be required to register as lobbyist. Where, oh where can Americans get information NOT so tainted. It can be so refreshing reading/listening to articles written in other English-speaking sources. Independents and self-thining voters really DO need information of real facts pertinent to the election. It almost appears ALL media has lowered itself to what was once termed "yellow journalism/sensationalism".

I thought CNN ( Campbell's ) job was to interview and report the news. She made it odvious with this interview who her canidate of choice is. Is that professional? Maybe you guys do that and I just never noticed before. It wasn't just what she said and ask but the tone of her voice and how she said it. Come on Campbell, you can do better than that.
