I don't spend my mornings sitting my TV room watching The View. But I am a fan of Joy Behar, especially when Larry King invites her over to CNN and she tells it like she sees it about politics and lots of other topics.
But today I'm wondering whether we should invite her to be an honorary MOMocrat because she wasn't afraid to confront John McCain about his lies.
Yes, lies. Lots of reporters and commentators will talk about misrepresentations and stories and mistakes. But rarely does anyone come right out and call a politician, especially someone running for President, a liar.
But Joy did, and rightly so:
That's some bold daytime television. I say, one of the networks should invite Joy Behar to be one of the questioners in the upcoming presidential debates. Aside from the some fireworks, we might actually hear some truth and have a questioner willing abandon a bit of the unnecessary decorum and get down to what we all want to ask.
Joanne is still trying to get her head around why the McCain/Palin ticket is so popular over at her place, PunditMom.
I've always loved Joy Behar, and I loved her for doing precisely what she did. I hardly disagree with her, ever, and I love how she just speaks the truth. However, after giving it a very long time, I had to give up watching the view due to Elizabeth Hasselbeck. I like hearing other viewpoints, but for me it just got to a point where enough is enough.

The show completely redeemed itself in my eyes with this interview. I could have lived without the fluffy third segment with Cindy which to me seemed a little condescending. (Oh, it's a women's show. Let's talk to the wife.) But hearing women who are not actually broadcast journalists (BW excepted of course) and were able to absolutely ask the hard questions that no one in the news media is doing? Freaking awesome.
Wolf Blitzer, Larry King, and the rest of the softball peddlers should take a lesson.
And did anyone else think that in response to Joy, he practically said "well, I'm pro choice but I took a pro life stance for political gain?" Because that's totally how it came across to me.
