Sensible, rational people do attend McCain rallies! Watch how these fine folks force the bigots to take their ball and go home!

That was GREAT! Those Muslim and Christian supporters called out racism/Islamophobia in their own party, and that's how it should be.
Bigots should have to be ashamed to show their faces or say their names. They should have to turn tail and be shunned when they try to sell their hatemongering to other people.

I loved the "the media's gonna make me look bad" argument. No, hon, you're doing a good job of that all by yourself!
Another backfire that turned off many of those McCain supporters at least one of whom said something like "You just changed my mind." That man who calls himself Conservative Christian is a fine example of his faith.

The Dem party is over here with arms wide open should anyone decide they've had enough hate and negativity. ;)
Let's be FOR something, for a change.

AWESOME.
And yet.
If that Maryland Campaign Chair can stand up to bigots in the crowd and say the McCain campaign is not against Islam, WHY WON'T JOHN MCCAIN?

My thoughts exactly, Jaelithe. It goes to show how out of touch McCain is with what's going on with voters, especially the men and women at his very own rallies.

Anyone thinking Obama is a terrorist is a fool. To think he is a crook is silly. THere is NO WAY he would say "go ahead kill that baby". He isn't such an idiot to do any of those things. But you have to ask yourselves, WHY does he have so very many associations with such bad people? He sure has made a lot of bad decisions for a man wanting to be President. Do you have a terrorist friend? Did you have a slum lord partner you did a land purchase with? Have you supported a country leader (Reile Odinga) that supports killing of innocent people only because they didn't agree with him? You SURE WOULD think a Harvard Graduate wouldn't make friends with such people. BUT, he sure is a nice guy that speaks well, he himself has never done anything bad......directly. It is everyone around him that does it, and as soon as he thinks it hurts his cause he deplores it.
ZERO executive experience, ZERO convictions of EVER having reformed ANYTHING. But HEY, He sure is a Nice Guy.
GO CHANGE

Oh, get a life already, Ron. I know the MOMocrats are all incredibly sexy and intelligent, but surely there are other liberal women on the internet you could obsess over.
Why don't you ask yourself why Republican, renowned philanthropist, former ambassador and good friend to Ronald Reagan Walter Annenberg "palled around" with Bill Ayers? After all, he was the one who created and funded the Annenberg Challenge.
Maybe it was because Ayers, a college professor and prolific author who was once named Chicago's Citizen of the Year, is one of that city's foremost authorities on education, and ANYONE wanting to help reform Chicago's struggling education system at that time needed to work with Ayers.

anyone else think that whole scene looked set up?

Ok, thats one example Jaelithe, and one that wasn't known or at least wasn't advertised per-election. But the country KNOWS of all of Mr. Obamas associations NOW. And really, Walter WHO?
Chicago, CHICAGO Citizen of the YEAR?! hahahaha!! Thats awesome. Most crooked city in the country, ran by mechanics politics by Mayor Richard Daley and his so honest sidekicks. Thank you for the Perfect Example. The Crooked City Honored Bill Ayers.
Anyways, it isn't about him, or Chicago directly. It is about the 1-2-3-4-5-6+ known associations with dishonorable people your wonderful candidate chummed around with. GREAT Decision Maker he is for a Presidential candidate. And its also about how you either refuse to recognize that being a fact, or that you know it is all true and you still want to put that kind of person in the White House, Amazing. I can think of 100 people I would pick before McCain, but not someone that isn't qualified or deserving.
By the way, does this outside opinion offend or scare you? Is that why you ask me to post elsewhere and also delete my posts?

Bill Ayers is a professor of education but I thought what university would hire a convicted felon? NONE, because Ayers was never convicted. Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn both turned themselves into the feds to accept their punishment but because Nixon-era prosecutors violated the law, they couldn't be tried. What Ayers did was wrong despite the toll that Vietnam was taking on young men his age. Obama's friend, Prof. Khaledi seems cut from a similar mold, someone who tried to make a difference in a really bad situation and has become a respected academic and sometime activist. Three professors sharing dinner and ideas doesn't mean they share the same political views.
