I just read Erin's Kotecki Vest's post over on HuffPo, where she takes up Lee Strahan's cause of repeatedly pimping his story about John Edwards on DailyKos.
Apparently, Stranahan was banned from DailyKos and not for the reasons Erin claims in her HuffPo post. While I don't know the exact reasons for his banning, Stranhan did break a number of rules on DailyKos, thus, his banning was justified.
Moreover, Stranahan continues to peddle unsubstantiated tabloid rumors, as if they are facts. The low standards he exhibits with his John Edwards story, are not acceptable to most Kossacks, who demand facts over speculation, right wing anonymous sources and tabloid rumor.
This is why Stranahan's fourth diary on his same story was rejected by Kossacks.
Lastly, Stanahan is showing total disregard for Elizabeth Edwards, who happens to be an admired and loved progressive blogger. No doubt this scandal, put forth by the National Enquirer and yet to be proven with one shred of credible evidence, is hurtful to Elizabeth Edwards.
It is my hope that Momocrats and other bloggers maintain higher standards than the National Enquirer, FOX News and Lee Stanahan (at least with this one story of his) for obvious reasons, not the least of being out of respect for Elizabeth Edwards, a strong, progressive voice for universal healthcare, a blogger, and simply a woman so many of us love.
